Furnace and Heat Pump Service
Gas and propane furnace repair
We work on gas and propane furnaces. We find the cause, explain it in plain English and go over your options before we start. Repairs come with our 90-day warranty.
Signs to watch for:
- The furnace won't start, or it starts and shuts off quickly
- The blower runs but the air isn't warm
- Some rooms stay cold
- New or loud noises when it runs
- The system runs constantly and the house still feels cold
Heat pump repair
A heat pump heats and cools your home, so when it has problems you can lose both. We repair and install heat pumps, and repairs come with our 90-day warranty.
Signs to watch for:
- Cool air from the vents in heat mode
- The outdoor unit stays iced over (a light frost that clears during defrost is normal)
- The system runs nonstop or shuts off quickly
- Backup or emergency heat comes on more than usual, or your power bill jumps
If you smell gas or propane, leave the house and call your gas utility, your propane supplier or 911 from outside first.
Replacing a Furnace or Heat Pump
When a system is worn out or repairs keep stacking up, we also install new gas and propane furnaces and heat pumps. We'll look at what you have and go over options with you. If your heat pump isn't cooling in summer, see AC repair & installation.
Quick Checks Before You Call
Check that the thermostat is set to Heat and above room temperature, check the breaker and the furnace switch (it looks like a light switch near the unit), and check the air filter. Still no heat? Call (865) 214-7334.
